The theme at Coelho Winery in Amity will be “The Perfect Aphrodisiac,” with the staff offering a selection of wines paired with “sweet and savory aphrodisiacs.” On Sunday, February 13 at 3 p.m., Vintage Voices, a jazz ensemble, will perform classic love songs in the tasting room. The Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon will be held in the Willamette Valley on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 5. The race begins at Stoller Vineyards and Winery just north of Dayton and continues through picturesque valleys and farmland to the finish line in Carlton. About 2,000 runners are expected for the event.
Race competitors, friends and local residents will enjoy a Wine and Music Festival at the conclusion of the race. Our bed and breakfast in Carlton is in a perfect location to serve as your home base while visiting the Willamette Valley. You may want to extend your stay to visit the many tasting rooms and wineries in the valley, known as one of the finest producers of Pinot Noir in the world.
For the 24th consecutive year, the International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) will be held on the Linfield College Campus in McMinnville, Oregon from July 23 – 25. This stellar event will bring together over 60 Pinot noir producers from around the world, outstanding chefs, and guests for a full weekend of wine tasting and education. In addition to the outstanding selection of Pinot noir, the event will include group activities, seminars, vineyard tours and meals by top Northwest chefs.
