Monks Gate is one of dozens of wineries in the Valley planning special events during Valentine’s Day weekend. The theme at Coelho Winery in Amity will be “The Perfect Aphrodisiac,” with the staff offering a selection of wines paired with “sweet and savory aphrodisiacs.” On Sunday, February 13 at 3 p.m., Vintage Voices, a jazz ensemble, will perform classic love songs in the tasting room. This weekend marks the start of the October Art Harvest Studio Tour in Yamhill County. The event continues 11 until 6 p.m. today, tomorrow (October 3) and next weekend, October 8 – 10. You are invited to visit the studios of 40 Yamhill County artists who work in many mediums. Some of the artists on the tour are: Marilyn Affolter, photographer; Terry Peasley, watercolor; Kathleen Buck, acrylic and watercolor; and Marilyn Higginson, oil landscapes and other media.
